The Institute also organises training programmes in collaboration with Government Departments (Central & State); NABARD, NCDC, IFFCO, NCCF, TRIFED, NCUI, New Delhi, Handloom Directorate, Assam, ASCARD Bank, Assam, Apex Cooperative Bank of N.E. Region, MDMI, Shillong and other Cooperative Institutions.
Keeping in view, the need for organizing Vocational / Skill Development training programmes for the generation of self-employment opportunities among women and youths, the Institute conducts the vocational training programmes on Food Processing; Knitting & Embroidery; Development & Design in Handloom Products; Tailoring and Production of Sericulture Products; Tailoring and Production of Readymade Garments. Besides, under N.E. States specific category programmes, the sectoral training programmes on consumers, marketing, and handloom.
The Institute also conducts on the spot programmes looking to the need of the user organizations.
